Born in Milan, Italy, Virginia started dancing at age three but took a break at eight. Two years later, at 10, she felt a powerful urge to return to ballet, as if she was destined for it. To make up for lost time, Virginia began private lessons to rebuild her foundation. That year, with the La Scala Ballet School auditions already passed, she enrolled in the Ukrainian Ballet Academy in Milan, which provided a crucial year of preparation. In 2010, at 12, Virginia began her training at the renowned La Scala Ballet School.

“Joining such a prestigious school was a dream for me, and it felt like the natural next step to pursue ballet at the highest level possible.”
